This March sees a flurry of fundraising activity for the annual Vale Earth Fair music festival, with three events on consecutive nights at the Thomas De La Rue Pub.
The first of these events on Thursday 19th March is the hugely popular annual Vale Earth Fair Music Quiz, starting at 7pm. Tables are going fast, so if you want to join in the fun you need to register by email to quiz@valeearthfair.org, or call 07911 732792. The entry fee is £8 per person for teams of five, and food is included. First prize is a Vale Earth Fair ticket for each of the winning team, and there will also be a raffle with various prizes.
The following day features Rentoclean playing live with tunes before and after supplied by FlyByWire Sound System. The music starts at 8:30pm and its free entry.
Finally on Saturday 21st March from 7:30pm, again at the De La Rue, it’s the battle of the sexes with the Girls vs Guys DJ night – 14 DJs battle it out on the decks, 7 girls and 7 guys select the tunes for 20 minutes each.
All profits from these events will go towards funding the Vale Earth Fair, which supports a number of humanitarian causes, including the Burma Campaign UK, Free Tibet, and Bridge2Haiti.
Planning is under way for this year’s Vale Earth Fair which takes place on Sunday 30th August, and there will be further events to raise funds between now and August.
There will be an announcement on the line up for the Vale Earth Fair soon, and tickets will be available through the website www.valeearthfair.org, from the end of March. Children (12 and under) are free.
